When the Magi arrived, Joseph stood by, a witness to the adoration of the nations, yet content to remain the hidden servant of the King. In the Temple of Jerusalem, Joseph stood beside Mary during the Presentation, offering the sacrifice of the poor and listening as Simeon prophesied the sword that would pierce his spouse's heart.
